We present here the preliminary results of the laboratory Diagnosis, strategies and the potential for rehabilitating buildings in the City of Barcelona, which provides information on the physical and energetic state of the city’s housing stock, its socio-economic character, and the possibilities for improvements via energetic rehabilitations based on both active and passive strategies.
During the laboratory we organised a workshop devoted entirely to a debate on housing rehabilitation strategies in Barcelona using European Next Generation funding, as part of the international course New urban rehabilitation policies: needs and perspectives organised on 5, 6 and 9 May in the CCCB.
The study was presented by Aleix Arcarons and Alba Alsina and was preceded by a round-table discussion on the potential for housing rehabilitation in Barcelona.
