The aim of the seasonal rental laboratory is to provide information on the seasonal rental offer and thus offer a better perspective on the relevance that this market is taking in the whole rental market in Catalonia. With the territorial focus in the city of Barcelona, the metropolitan area and the demarcation, as well as the functional territorial areas of Catalonia and other areas of administrative and economic interest (tense residential market areas and areas with high concentration of tourist housing).
The information analyzed in this laboratory comes from the daily records on the number and characteristics of seasonal rental housing ads published (offer) in the real estate portal habitaclia, of the Adevinta group, from the first quarter of 2019 to the same period of 2024.
The document contains an analysis of two large segments of seasonal rental market and, in addition, it relatively compares the entire seasonal offer with the permanent residential rental market, which is the standard object of analysis in O-HB periodic laboratories.
