The Housing Demand Survey in Catalonia (EDHC) is a statistical operation that is part of the work plan of the Observatori Metropolità de l’Habitatge de Barcelona (O-HB) for the second consecutive year. It aims to provide periodic information on housing demand in the metropolis of Barcelona and throughout Catalonia, by quantifying it and describing the characteristics, motivations, and preferences of those seeking housing (OHB, 2023). Specifically, this edition collects information on the volume of demand by tenure regime, the basic demographic profile of the applicant, the motivation and location of the demand, and the prices willing to be paid for housing.
