The Barcelona Metropolitan Housing Observatory has presented the main results of its laboratory Housing in the Barcelona Metropolis 2017, a review of the housing situation in Barcelona and its metropolitan area during the year 2016. This report discusses indicators such as the lack of housing, the state of the city’s housing stock, the problems of permanence and access in housing, and housing policies.
The document was presented at a press conference coordinated by Carme Trilla, President of the Barcelona Metropolitan Housing Observatory, and was attended by representatives of the institutions behind the creation of the Observatory: Barcelona City Council, the Catalan Government, Barcelona Metropolitan Area and Barcelona Provincial Council.
