The Barcelona Metropolitan Housing Observatory took part on 13 June 2023 in the workshop Infancy and adolescence in Barcelona co-organised by the Infancy and Adolescence Institute and the Metropolis Institute.
Carles Donat, head of projects at the Observatory, provided quantitative data on the crisis of accessibility in housing in Barcelona and its social consequences. He highlighted how this cris is due, above all, to the fact that housing prices are becoming increasingly removed from the true financial possibilities of many households. As well, he remarked on the lack of social rental housing in the Barcelona metropolis.
